Weekly email 27th June 2020

Hello all Barlaston Church family & friends,

Lockdown is gradually moving towards a new normal. I expect you have read that churches can reopen from 4th July. No decision has been made yet concerning Barlaston Church (other than it is open for prayer on Sundays & Wednesday from 10.30-11.30am). We need to complete a lengthy Risk Assessment and Coronavirus Checklist that has been issued from on high.

As a Churchwarden & Reader I received this from Bishop Michael this week: “The Government’s announcement that church buildings can reopen for public worship and small weddings from 4th July is welcome news and is a significant step on the journey out of lockdown. We await further guidance from the Government and the national Church of England, next week, on what this will look like in practice for churches. When this guidance is available it will be shared.”

So, watch this space, we will contact you as soon as plans are known and agreed. The Vicar & Churchwardens are in regular touch and will meet again this coming week.

The Coronavirus daily 5.00pm news conferences may have stopped but Stewart continues his great work and has provided for us a Reflection for this coming week. You can read this at https://stjohnsbarlaston.co.uk/reflections

Stewart has also reminded me that the July / August 2020 edition of the magazine will be available this coming week.

Keep up with Tots and Mosaic by looking at

Take care, maybe wear a mask, and I suggest you do not visit a beach!

Blessings

Churchwarden & Reader.
