Latest re-opening of church news

Hello all Barlaston Church Family & Friends,

The reopening of the Church

I am pleased to let you know that on Sunday 5th July we will be having a service of Holy Communion at 10.30am and each following Sunday.

THERE WILL BE RESTRICTIONS AS DETAILED BELOW, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

From Wednesday 15th July the weekly mid-week Communions restart with the same restrictions.

It will be different at church:

Following Government and Church of England guidelines:

You will be asked to use hand sanitiser as you arrive.

You are not required to wear a mask, but you can if you wish.

50 maximum in attendance

Social distancing must be observed, seats are placed accordingly, allowing couples or families to sit together.

There will be no singing, although there will be organ music.

There will be no service booklets or newssheet.

All liturgy words will be on the screen.

No refreshments or socialising in church following the service.

No children’s groups.

Please place you financial offering on the plate as you arrive. There will be no collection.

The Peace will not be shared beyond families.

To receive Communion we stay standing as we come forward to receive the bread.

Wine will be available in individual cups.

All very different! It will take some getting used to, but as we gather to worship once again I’m sure we’ll be blest by God’s presence.

Take care,

Dennis Croome.
