Hello Barlaston Church Family and all who read this,

We had a great service last Sunday at 1030 including a Baptism of a local Barlaston child. It was lovely to see a full church with the Baptism family and friends adding to our usual congregation. There were some interesting observations after the service from our regulars saying that this is the type of service that can attract and welcome newcomers to worship. Challenging times! We trust that the Lord will lead us forward in His directions concerning our worship.

On Tuesday at Tots there were 14 children and 19 adults present. Exciting!

This Sunday 19th January we have two services, Holy Communion with Mosaic at 1030 and Evensong at 4.00pm. We'd love to see you at one or the other.

The Toilet Refurbishment has been completed this week and we now have two excellent unisex toilets adjacent to the kitchen. The flooring of the passage way and toilets will be completed soon.

Some things 'just occur each week' - a good example are the flowers in church. Thank you – to those who do this work, it is greatly appreciated.

Coffee – we will shortly have a Bravilor Manual Fill Filter Coffee Machine in the Church Kitchen. Look forward to some great coffee and using a much safer system.

Church Letting – we are hoping to appoint someone to be responsible for the letting of the church. You would receive payment for each event. Please speak to the Vicar or Churchwardens if you may be interested.

Sidepersons – do a fantastic job at all our services.  It’s a great way to get to know people and carry out an important work. We are looking to appoint people to join the team, if you are interested please speak to the Vicar or Churchwardens asap.

Pancake Community Lunch - book the date now Tuesday 25th February Further information from Ali Dando and Gill Brealey.

Don't forget to look at https://barlastoncommunitygroup.webs.com/ for information of other Barlaston events.

The Ceramic City Choir are singing the Messiah on Saturday 28th March 2020. Details to follow - a popular work that you may enjoy.

In Psalm 27 we read a verse of David's triumphant song of confidence:
'The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?'

Blessings
