Christmas 2019

We all love stars.

From one of the first songs we sing as children to gazing at the clear night sky we enjoy their wonder and mystery. We name talented singers and film actors stars as they bring a richness to our lives. Some people even see the stars as a way of explaining their personality.

 We all love stars.

The Christmas story has a very important star. It leads the Magi to Jesus. The visit of the wise men and the shepherds to the stable with Mary, Joseph and the baby is the wonder at the heart of Christmas.

And this Christmas, here in Barlaston, we too can follow the star. It can lead us to the place where we will find the King of Kings and discover that God’s love is for us. The star lights in our windows, the nativity scene on the green, our services in church are all there to lead us to that place of God’s welcome.

 May you follow the star and find the living Lord Jesus Christ this Christmas season and always.
